Charlie Powers is a Texas born-and-bred Artist who is Passionate about Technology.
Charlie began painting in early 2017 after watching spray paint art videos on YouTube and being encouraged by his parents to try it out. Painting changed how he viewed art and he began to pursue the craft further. One fateful day he was showing his mother a finished piece when she happened to see light shining through the back side of the painting. The light made the planets glow and it completely morphed the painting into something different. They quickly gathered his paintings and discovered that almost all of them had the same effect when backlit. The idea had to be investigated further. Charlie and his parents began brainstorming and built numerous prototypes before arriving at the fourth, most streamlined version of what has been dubbed Powered Frames. A Powered Frame is a floating frame built specifically for Charlie's original acrylic paintings on canvas with one very special feature: RGB lighting behind the painting. |
